How to Create Users

Users are used to give users login access and privileges to your application.

Step by Step Guide

1.Go to the USERS tab and click on the NEW User button. A new tab should appear.

2. Choose a username and password for your user account.

3. Under type, choose which User Type this User belongs to.

5. Choose an Expiry Date.

6. Click on the UPDATE button to save your User.

You now have created a User Type

How to Create User Types

User types are the classifications of the users in your application. Some users can be classified as admins or employees which will be given admin or employee privileges and can be classified as visitors which can be given limited access and privileges to your application.

Step by Step Guide

1. Go to the USER TYPES tab and then click on a User Type you wish to edit.

2. Choose a name for the User Type

3. (Optional) Put in a description for your User Type

4. Choose the Type that this User Type belongs to.

6. Under Options, you can see the list of views that you have created. Select a view that you want the User Type to be able to access by clicking on the MOVE RIGHT button or clicking on it twice. You should see it get transferred to the Selected box.

3. Once done, click on the UPDATE button to save your work.

You now know how to set which views are available for a particular User Type.

How to set a Reset Password element

If you click on the Forgot Password button at your application login page, you will have to enter an information to verify your identification. Usually, we use an email address for identity verification. This email address will match up with the value of the assigned Reset Password element

1. Go to the USER TYPES tab and click on a User Type you wish to set a Reset Password element to.

2. Under the RESET PASSWORD element field, choose an element you want to use

3. Click on the UPDATE button

4. Go to the USERS tab and choose a User that has administrator privelages

5. Under Link Instance, choose the Data Record you want to associate this User to. This will determine which Email Address the Reset Password Instructions will be sent to.

6. Click on the UPDATE button and the UPDATE APPLICATION button

When you go to your Application's login page and click on the "Forgot Password" button. You will be directed to a series of steps to set a new password.

You now have set a Reset Password Element.

How to associate a User Account to a Data Record

You can associate a specific data record to a user account in the application. Any actions done in the application will automatically be tagged under the assigned data record.

1. Go to the USERS tab and choose a User account.

2. Click on the Linked Instance drop down field.

3. Choose a data record that you want to link this user account to.

You now have associated a User Account to a Data Record.
