Things you need to know in creating different Actions that you can use in your application.

How to create a Standard Action

Standard actions are basic actions from a list of precoded actions in the builder that users can use without the need to code at all.

Step by Step Guide

1. Go to the ACTIONS tab and click on the NEW ACTION button .

2. Choose a name for your action by filling out the TITLE field

3. Under type, choose the kind of function you want your action to have.

4. Fill out the needed parameters for your action.

5. Click on the UPDATE button to save your action.

You now have created a Standard Action for your application.

How to set Icons for Actions

Setting an icon for an Action enables user to easily identify them with graphics or images that represents them.

Step by Step Guide

1. Go to the ACTIONS tab

2. Select an action you want to set an icon to.

3. Click on the "select icon" button. A new window should appear.

4. Then select an icon by selecting an icon library, category, icon color, style and variant.

6. Click on the UPDATE button to save your selected icon.

Action buttons are elements in your application in a form of clickable buttons that when clicked, performs an action.

Step by Step Guide

1. Open the Type and Section you want to add the action button to.

2. Click on the NEW element button. A new window tab should appear

3. Let's choose a name for our element using the TITLE field.

4. (OPTIONAL) You can also put in a description for your element by filling out the DESCRIPTION field.

5. Choose Action Button under Type

6. Click on the UPDATE button

7. Set a rendering option for this element by clicking on the RENDERING button under options. A pop up window should appear.

8. Under options, let's choose 'Linked Action'

9. Under the parameters field, choose the name of the action you wish to link this button to.

10. Click on the UPDATE button to save your rendering option

11. Click on the UPDATE button and the UPDATE APPLICATION button as well.

You now have created an Action button.

List Action gives you the ability to list all data records created for a specific data type.
